Columbian Exposition fan Dorothy McFarland kindly shared with us some screenshots of the episode of Jeopardy that aired on January 17, 2018, which included the Round 1 category “The 1893 Chicago World’s Fair” (“You remember that,” adds host Alex Trebek).

The contestants did remember the fair, making a clean sweep of the category. Amanda Griggs provided the correct question to the $200 answer: “Illuminated by thousands of light bulbs, the building seen here was devoted to this new innovation for the home.”

Gilbert Collins knew the question for the $400 answer:

and for the $600 answer: “The building at the fair where the Liberty Bell was on display was modeled after this famous building in Philly.”

Lee Quinn buzzed in with his correct question to the $800 answer:

This makes us think that an entire Jeopardy episode devoted to the 1893 World’s Fair would be great fun. What would be your dream Jeopardy categories?
