“Famous Names” served as the Final Jeopardy category on the June 12, 2024, episode of Jeopardy! A satirical podcast about the 1893 World’s Fair?

Jeopardy! clues relating to the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition (such as ones about belly dancing and promotional pickle pins, the Field Columbian Museum, and Fannie Barrier Williams) are always a fun surprise. On the April 18, 2023, episode, returning champion Dan Ciarrocchi mentioned that he is writing a scripted podcast that is a satirical look at the 1893 World’s Fair. We can't wait to hear it!

Historic Woman from the 1893 World’s Fair on “Jeopardy!”

Jeopardy! featured an important figure from the 1893 World's Fair on their show #8766 (airing on Monday, December 19, 2022). The category of "Famous Woman" in the Double Jeopardy round included the answer: "In 1893, activist Fannie Barrier Williams successfully fought for Black inclusion at this city's Columbian Exposition." We've been devoted Jeopardy fans in recent weeks, due to the incredible winning streak of Amy Schneider. “I’ll take the 1893 World’s Fair for $200, Alex”

Columbian Exposition fan Dorothy McFarland kindly shared with us some screenshots of the episode of Jeopardy that aired on January 17, 2018, which included the Round 1 category "The 1893 Chicago World’s Fair" ("You remember that," adds host Alex Trebek).
